About the project
Creating a event and broadcasting experience
At Dexper, our event streaming service caters to enterprise-sized companies seeking to host their digital events seamlessly. Dexper provides a robust platform for streaming events, enabling companies to engage audiences effectively. In my role as a Product Designer at Dexper, I collaborated closely with clients, working hand in hand to understand their needs and translate them into intuitive interface designs across all major platforms. This ensured a cohesive and user-friendly experience for event organizers and attendees alike.
The stage is set
As our journey with Dexper unfolded, we unearthed a series of seemingly minor features that were causing significant frustration among our users. Despite Dexper's potential as a premier event streaming service, it became evident that the product fell short of fundamental design principles, hindering users from fully embracing its value and capabilities.

Rather than succumbing to frustration, we viewed this as an opportunity to initiate a transformative process. This realization led us to pause the development of Dexper 1.0 and embark on a fresh chapter with Dexper 2.0. Our goal was clear: to craft a platform that not only met but exceeded user expectations, delivering a seamless and enjoyable event streaming experience.

With a blank canvas before us, we integrated the finest elements of design, technology, and user insights into Dexper 2.0. The outcome was a platform that boasted intuitive navigation, accessibility, and user satisfaction at its core. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our users validated our efforts, affirming Dexper's position as a leading event streaming service that consistently surpasses expectations.
The challenge
As our journey with Dexper progressed, we encountered several challenges where seemingly minor features were causing significant frustrations among our users. Tailor made concept
Dexper's approach to customer events was characterized by a commitment to tailor-made experiences, meticulously crafted in collaboration with clients. This involved working closely with each client to understand their unique requirements and preferences, resulting in highly personalized event platforms. However, this bespoke approach was inherently time-consuming and resource-intensive, as it necessitated the creation of an entirely new platform for each client request, with virtually no design limitations.

Recognizing the need for scalability and efficiency, I advocated for the implementation of template-based solutions. By offering pre-designed templates that clients could customize to their needs, we could streamline the platform creation process, allowing for faster turnaround times and greater scalability while still preserving the flexibility and personalization that Dexper is known for.
My role
At Dexper, my role encompassed overseeing marketing assets and spearheading initiatives to enhance scalability, enabling us to cater to a broader array of companies and their events. Recognizing the necessity for a more streamlined approach, I took the lead in developing Dexper 2.0, which aimed to provide customers with a structured understanding of the platform's capabilities. Through strategic planning and collaboration with cross-functional teams, we implemented standardized templates and clear guidelines, empowering customers to leverage Dexper's features efficiently. By ensuring that marketing assets aligned with our scalable vision, we not only expanded Dexper's reach but also provided customers with a more cohesive and accessible event streaming solution.

Due to our close collaboration with both users and clients, we amassed a wealth of real-time data and feedback, providing valuable insights into their needs and preferences. Armed with this knowledge, our attention shifted towards refining the new concept, establishing the desired structure, and identifying essential features for the minimum viable product (MVP). This strategic approach enabled us to enhance the app iteratively, effectively aligning with users' goals and delivering a more tailored and impactful experience.

Through several productive creative facilitation sessions supported by thorough research, we initiated brainstorming sessions aimed at critically assessing the existing structure. Our focus was on enhancing the information architecture to adopt a more user-centric and comprehensible UX approach. By prioritizing clarity and empathy, we aimed to develop a well-rounded MVP that not only showcased scalability but also promised to leave a lasting impact as an event solution.

Drawing from the validated information gleaned through testing, we embarked on the task of constructing wireframes for concept testing. This crucial step involved thorough communication with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and garner solid approval for the MVP's UI and UX requirements. By involving stakeholders early in the process, we aimed to gather valuable insights and feedback to refine the wireframes effectively, ultimately paving the way for a more robust and user-friendly product.

The Dexper Digital Event Management (DEM) platform represents a pivotal component of our product suite, empowering clients to independently manage their events with minimal intervention from Dexper staff. This strategic shift has proven immensely beneficial, as it not only liberates our team from intensive event management tasks but also allows us to allocate resources towards developing innovative features and enhancing the overall product experience. By granting clients greater autonomy and control over their events, Dexper DEM fosters efficiency, flexibility, and scalability, while enabling us to focus on continually elevating our offerings to meet evolving industry demands.

The debut of the new Dexper MVP saw HashiCorp and Figma stepping into the limelight as pioneering events, each marking significant milestones in their respective journeys. For HashiCorp, this marked the third collaboration with Dexper, highlighting a trusted partnership built on reliability and mutual success. Figma, on the other hand, embarked on its inaugural event with Dexper, forging a fresh partnership brimming with anticipation and excitement. Both events showcased the resilience and adaptability of the Dexper platform, seamlessly facilitating immersive digital experiences tailored to the unique needs of each client.

As trailblazers in their fields, HashiCorp and Figma leveraged the innovative capabilities of the Dexper MVP to elevate their event experiences to new heights. From HashiCorp's seasoned expertise to Figma's pioneering spirit, both partners embraced the cutting-edge features and intuitive interface of the Dexper platform with enthusiasm. The success of these inaugural events underscores Dexper's commitment to empowering clients with scalable and impactful solutions, setting the stage for future collaborations that push the boundaries of digital event management.

The UI design for Dexper is meticulously crafted to prioritize scalability and responsiveness, ensuring an intuitive and seamless experience for clients as they navigate the platform to create branded events. By embracing scalable design principles, Dexper empowers clients with the flexibility to tailor their events to their unique brand identities and requirements, regardless of scale or complexity. The responsive design elements further enhance usability, adapting seamlessly to different screen sizes and devices, whether desktop or mobile. This focus on scalability and responsiveness not only simplifies the event creation process but also fosters a cohesive and branded experience that resonates with attendees, ultimately elevating the impact and success of each event hosted on the Dexper platform.

Dexper VOD represents the latest project aimed at providing companies with a comprehensive solution for hosting event videos post-conclusion. With Dexper VOD, audiences gain the invaluable ability to revisit and engage with event content long after the curtains have closed. This innovative platform not only ensures the preservation of valuable event materials but also extends the reach and longevity of each event, enabling companies to maximize the impact of their content and foster continued engagement with their audience.
Conclusion
Being part of the Dexper journey has been incredibly rewarding and enlightening. Scaling such a monumental product to ensure adaptability and scalability for our target audiences and clients has been an enriching experience. This journey has not only deepened my understanding of product development but has also equipped me with invaluable skills in navigating the complexities of catering to diverse client needs.
